Being able to create something both functional and beautiful out of everyday materials has always fascinated me. A love of nature and my travels throughout Europe and Asia provide inspiration for my design and choice of colour.
Over the many years that I have been involved in pottery, I have had the great fortune to be able to study with many talented teachers. Each has contributed in their own special way to the development of my wheel and hand building skills and decorative techniques. I continue to learn with every pot that I make.
My work is showcased at several galleries including the Art Gallery of Peterborough; Eclectic Mix (Warkworth); My Favourite Things(Bobcaygeon) and After Stonewall (Ottawa). I have also participated in Studio Tours in Creemore, Peterborough and Victoria County. My work is also available at the Kawartha Potters Guild, where I am a member in good standing.
All work is done using a porcelain clay mix, fired in an electric kiln to Cone 6. Only food safe glazes are used in firing and all pieces are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe with appropriate care.
